The Pope shows his closeness to the Palestinian people and invokes human dignity

Leo XIV today expressed his “deep closeness to the Palestinian people in Gaza, who continue to live in fear and in unacceptable conditions, forcibly displaced within their own lands.” In a solemn tone, “before the Almighty Lord, who has commanded that no one be killed,” he recalled the “inviolable dignity” of every person.
